Excellent opportunity for a Trading System Operator and support person.
Must have experience with
Production Support
or
trouble-shooting investment trading software
such as trading system applications, investment market data software, FIX protocol or similar.

, seeking a smart, experienced
System Operator to be part of team supporting 24X7 global e-trading systems

Basic job duties / In a Linix environment will:
Work with traders and internal technical staff to
perform operational procedures as they relate to trading applications, connectivity and other production issues.
Provide sound technical knowledge and
effective trouble-shooting
for the operation and monitoring of
real-time, trading systems in a production environment.
Ensure systems integrity and efficient operation of on-line production
Provide production support for trading system applications and software.
Monitor and
support live and delayed stock market data for traders
in a live help desk environment
Respond to
critical alerts and conduct diagnostic troubleshooting procedures to resolve system and application problems
and production issues
Provide operational support for UNIX systems
This is a 24X7 team. Rotating Shifts required.
Requirements:
Experience as a
System Operator or Production Support
person
trouble-shooting and supporting financial applications, trading applications, investment systems
, or other large-scale software.
2-to-10 years
trouble-shooting financial software applications, TCP/IP connectivity and monitoring system integrity.
Perl scripting or Unix scripting is highly desirable.
Experience with
FIX Protocol
or other financial trading software is highly desirable.
Smart, hard-working person with a passion for resolving technical problems.
Completion of a 2 or 4 year degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other technical fields is a plus but
work experience is the primary qualifier.
MUST be available to work SHIFTS which rotate every few months

Compensation: $45,000 to $70,000 plus annual bonuses and excellent benefits
